Green Efforts

Coastal Forest Products has been mindful and committed to the environment for over 25 years.  The company is constantly looking for ways to decrease our environmental footprint through new processes and practices.

"Coastal's state-of-the-art RTO system reduces emissions and recycles the heat produced for drying and heating the warehouse at our Bow facility..."

In an effort to minimize the facility’s impact on air quality, we’ve incorporated several eco-friendly practices.  Including burning the VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds) emitted during the coating and recovering the heat produced through an RTO (Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer) for use in the drying stages of the process, as well as heating the warehouse

Coastal Forest Products is very cognizant of our potential environmental impact.  Our Quality Wood Priming process is both FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) certified through the Chain of Custody program.

This program tracks lumber and wood fiber from the forest of origin throughout processing.  The tracking program ensures that companies with the environment in-mind are using trees grown in responsibly managed forests, as opposed to illegally harvested, major tropical wilderness areas, or biodiversity hotspots.
